The Passatge del Sucre company is developing an innovative, modern project consisting of recovering and transforming an old factory; the set of 5 buildings that made up the original industrial complex in 1916 and which belonged to the Compañía de Industrias Agrícolas, S.A. housed an alcohol distillery.
The result is 29 exclusive “unconventional dwellings”, which we all know as lofts. Praiseworthy is the work of the architects, Jordi Garcés and Berta Rovira in a project whose main objective is to preserve the industrial architectural heritage to achieve coexistence and balance between the existing and the superimposition of contemporary criteria, paying attention to the original elements such as the volume, the open brickwork, the series of façades, the heights, the large windows and the structural elements such as the old existing trusses in wood or wrought iron.
The exclusiveness of the project allows a true loft in the centre of Barcelona and next to the sea, in a completely urban building but with ingredients of a summer residence.
There are 7 different types according to size and distribution, with surface areas of between 100 and 240 m2, spread over one, two or three levels. These are absolutely diaphanous spaces of unusual characteristics, intended for a demanding, dynamic public.
The flexibility of these lofts means that they can be used as dwellings (they are duly certified), offices, workshops, showrooms, gallery… and even allow personal and private life to be brought together in the same space.
Parking spaces can also be bought alongside the lofts and existing mortgages may be taken over; both good reasons for paying special attention to this unique project.
The lofts go from 102 sqm up to 240 sqm with terrace.
Price start from 475.000 Euros up to 1.200.000 Euros for the larger ones with terraces.
